INGREDIENTS:-
For the chicken:
1 kg chicken (cut into pieces)
2 tbsp garlic paste
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp soya sauce
1 tsp chilli suace
½ tsp red chilli powder
½ tsp black pepper powder
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Salt to taste
For the bbq sauce:-
1 onion (finely chopped)
1 cup of tomato ketchup
½ cup hot water
1/3 cup of lemon juice
1 tbsp oyester sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp red chilli powder
½ tsp butter
½ tsp black pepper powder
Method:-
Prepare the bbq sauce:
· Melt the butter over medium heat in a pan.
· Add the onions. Saute until soft.
· Add all the remaining ingredients.
· Simmer for about 20 min. stir occassionally.
· When the sauce becomes thick,remove from heat.
Prepare the chicken:
· Preheat oven to 400 degree F.
· Mix garlic paste,tomato ketchup,soya sauce,chilli suace,red chilli powder and black pepper powder in a bowl.
· Pour this mixture over the chicken pieces.
· Ensure that the pieces are well coated.
· Take a baking dish. Apply thin layer of oil over the baking surface.
· Arrange the chicken pieces over the baking dish.
· Bake for 30 min.
· Take out the chicken. Keep aside a small part of the barbeque sauce.
· Spread the rests of the sauce evenly over the chicken pieces.
· Reduce the heat of oven to 375 degree F.
· Bake the chicken pieces for another 25-30 min.
· Test the chicken, whether it is properly cooked by slightly inserting a knife into its body.
· When the chicken is done,take out from the oven.
· Place the chicken on a serving plate.
· Garnish with a spoon of the remaining sauce on each of the chicken pieces.
· Serve hot barbequed chicken / bbq chicken with onion rings.

This is such an easy and simple recipe to try out for the lunch or for the dinner. Kids usually love to have chicken in the meals so I would be making this for the lunch soon.
